How we verify

1. Official evidence

A match needs a manufacturer accessory page, parts store, manual, support page or compatibility chart that names the model or its official series.

2. Per-market record

US, UK, Canada and Australia are checked separately. A missing regional listing stays missing.

3. Quote + locator + date

We store the source URL and title, a quoted compatibility line, where it appears on the page, and the date we checked it.

4. Unclear means unresolved

Shorthand names, purchase-date or hardware conditions, and vague "fits all" wording stay unresolved. They get no buy button and are kept out of search indexes.

What we never do

Assume a part fits because it looks the same.
Copy another site's compatibility database.
Merge one country's compatibility into another.
Show a purchase link for a fit we have not verified.
